You sure about that? Never worked for me. It was a P4 machine specifically. Can i use 9i client in place of 8. Please let me know. It would not work from the CD, but i think that if you copied the CD to disk and edited the ini file then it would load.

Not too sure about ini file — but it was a work a round like that. This version of Oracle is way past obsolete and deprecated. Oracle does not provide it any longer like for about 3or 4 years! Try a later version of the client with the Oracle 8 database — it may work.
